Cardiologists in Almaty region establishing cooperation with German colleagues
Cardiology is actively developing in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan started introducing new types of surgery. Patients with heart rhythm disorders can now receive medical care at the place of residence as, for example, in northern Kazakhstan. They can go to this cardiology center. There are 60 doctors working here.
Maksat Kudratullayev was recognized as the best surgeon in Kazakhstan last year. He conducts 2-3 surgeries per day. Now he needs to do the coronary angiography to a patient who has ischemic heart disease.

- Before the operation, a patient cannot even move without the pain in the chest, and after the surgery, they feel better, then you understand that you helped a person to recover, get back to normal life. These moments make me happy.
Over 500 stentings and nearly 300 open heart surgeries per year are conducted in the cardiology center in the northern Kazakhstan. 6,500 people were treated here in 2016. Some even prolonged their lives after the surgery.

- Local authorities allocated 1,702 million tenge this year. We have purchased the high-tech equipment for electrophysiological diagnostics, and navigation systems. This allows us to conduct surgery for any heart rhythm disorders.
Cardiologists in Almaty region are establishing cooperation with their European colleagues. Every year, they conduct hundreds of unique open heart surgeries together, such as the most common coronary angiography, aortocoronary shunting and much more. This time the leading clinical perfusionist from Germany came to the regional cardiology hospital. He conducted a series of surgeries and talked about his methods of heart surgery and rehabilitation.
