France's Hollande launches push to curb unemployment
French President Francois Hollande has unveiled measures to combat unemployment, which includes the creation of retraining programs for the unemployed and providing additional subsidies to small businesses. Plan to combat unemployment stipulates that enterprises in staff of which the number of employees is less than 250 will receive 2 thousand euros for the recruitment of young professionals for the period of more than six months. The measure will be valid for two years from today, the French President said. In addition, 500 thousand of unemployed, whose specialty was not demanded, will have the opportunity to undergo professional retraining. About 2 billion euros will be required in total for implementation of the plan.
