KAZAKHSTAN, GREECE: 25 YEARS OF COOPERATION
Kazakhstan and Greece are expanding cooperation in transport and logistics, and also increasing the trade turnover. The countries are planning to conclude a number of mutualy beneficial agreements in the near future. According to the information provided by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece, Aleksei Volkov, the contracts will be concluded in such spheres as healthcare, cosmetology and energy. The trade turnover between the two countries made up almost U.S. $886 million. Kazakhstan imports food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals from Greece. 90% of Kazakhstan's export to Greece is raw materials.

- Given the advantageous location of Greece, as well as its transport and logistics potential, the state poses great interest for world’s key trading countries such as the United States, Russia and China in establishing partnerships. Kazakhstan is not an exception in this matter. The Embassy is facilitating both political and corporate cooperation at a high level, this helps to strengthen businessmen’s confidence in Kazakhstan and Greece.
It has been 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Greece. Participation of Greece in Expo 2017 will also contribute to strengthening bilateral relations. Kazakh-Greek business forum will be held in the end of the year.
