Transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin script is a trend of the modern time, Kazakh linguists say. It is primarily required by globalization, Kazakhstan’s recognition in the world community. In addition, the transition to the Latin script will increase competitiveness and ensure the security of the republic.

- English is the language used in the global information space. Therefore, I believe that the Latin should be introduced. Trilingualism program will make it easier for children to acquire knowledge.
Experts of the neighboring countries welcome Kazakhstan’s transition to the Latin script. This will give a great impetus to the study of the Kazakh language, both inside the country and abroad, and will also increase its status in the information space, scientist Askar Igenuly says.

- We use the computer keyboard every day. It has 26 English letters. This alphabet is used by the whole world. I think that the transition to the Latin alphabet is the imperative of the times. There is no need to invent anything, let’s use those 26 letters.
