Introduction of QR-codes in Kazakhstan libraries
The QR codes are actively used in modern libraries. The virtual reading room is located in Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Aktau. It’s enough to scan the code in order to transfer the necessary literature to the screen of phone or laptop. The digital fund stores the works of domestic and foreign authors. In addition, readers can choose the language of preference, particularly, Kazakh, Russian or English.
ASEL OMIRBEK, STUDENT, NAZARBAYEV INTELLECTUAL SCHOOL IN AKTAU:
- If you do not have this application, download the QR Code Reader on your smartphone or tablet. Then open the application, point the camera at the QR-code to scan the desired book, load the work and enjoy reading. It's very simple and fast.
ASEL ISMAKHANBETOVA, COORDINATOR ON LANGUAGES, NAZARBAYEV INTELLECTUAL SCHOOL IN AKTAU:
- The most important goal is the realization of the Modernization of Public Consciousness program. Secondly, it is the implementation of the trilingual education policy. Thirdly, this is the most important goal to us which is to encourage our students to read.
The main guests of the virtual library are the MOVIEx school club. Once a week, young reviewers and film critics gather to discuss books and movies.
DANA YESBERGENOVA, STUDENT, NAZARBAYEV INTELLECTUAL SCHOOL IN AKTAU:
- The goal of the project is to encourage students to read books and critically analyze films. We read a book and a film to compare them. The goal is to identify a director’s choice to include one or another movie scene. I created this project in order to make sure that our students do not hesitate to speak out. During the literature class, I noticed that my classmates did not fully speak out. It turns out they are too shy.
The innovative Library was opened more than a month ago. During this time QR-codes were downloaded for nearly 300 times. It is planned to expand the list of books and install a few more similar stands.
