NATIONAL DAY OF SERBIA
The Eurovision star, the talented cellist and the folk ensemble performed on Serbia national day at EXPO 2017. The National Day of this Balkan state was held as part of the international specialized exhibition. The Serbian delegation prepared a wonderful, national style concert.

- Our program which is about to start very soon will consist of our performances of our very famous artists. We will have a performance of a very famous folk dance ensemble Lola. They will perform traditional Serbian dances on the national day stage.
Serbian artists’ performance created a dynamic and pleasant atmosphere. Rhythms of famous Katyusha performed by Serbian cellist Jela Cello thrilled the audience. The musician creates a mixture of classical and modern music that wins the hearts of millions of fans around the world. Serbian pop singer Jelena Tomasevic performed on the National Day of Serbia as well. She represented her country in Eurovision in 2008.
‘Lola’ folk ensemble performed traditional Serbian music wearing national clothes. Spectators have also enjoyed Serbian traditional dances.
- We are Lola ensemble. We are happy to represent Serbia at EXPO 2017. We are proud to present Serbian culture at such a large scale exhibition. We believe that our friendly relationship with Kazakhstan is based on cultural exchange as well.
After the concert, expo visitors were offered to learn about the rich potential of hydro and wind power of Serbia in their pavilion. Serbian pavilion’s main feature was the presentation of ideas of famous inventor Nikola Tesla. Visitors wore special glasses to see the presentation. They have also seen the full process of obtaining biofuel and biogas from biomass.
