Central Asian region will benefit from the implementation of the "Silk Road Economic belt" project
The Central Asian region will benefit from the implementation of the "Silk Road Economic belt" project, Liu Jiangpin, Charge d'Affaires of Chinese ambassador to Kazakhstan, believes. The countries will have access to the sea routes and will be able to utilize their trade potential, which, in turn, will lead to economic growth. In addition, the Chinese initiative will reduce the export and import costs incurred by the Central Asian states. Formation of the joint Silk Road economic belt will create an effective transport and communication chain, where Central Asia will be a key link. More than 60 countries are taking part in this initiative.
LIU JIANGPING, CHARGE D'AFFAIRES OF CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO KAZAKHSTAN:
- Central Asia is our closest neighbor and the most fraternal, friendly countries. Even before that, we have already begun to implement five communication projects with the Central Asian states. From the very beginning, we have established close political relations, then trade, transport partnership, and communication among people. That is, our cooperation has been progressing successfully in five areas of implementation of the "One Belt - One Road" initiative.
