New vector of Kyrgyzstan’s development – regional integration
According to politicians, members of the Kyrgyz parliament and economists, Kyrgyzstan prioritizes the regional integration in the economic development. Bishkek hosted public consultations, where the participants discussed the country’s future plans to expand foreign trade relations. Experts highlighted that usually cooperation with neighboring states are more important than the global projects. The expansion of production is based on the interaction with the Central Asian countries. The better the trade is with neighboring countries, the more opportunities the country gets to accumulate funds for business development and expand sales markets.
ZHUMAKADYR AKENEYEV, PHD IN ECONOMY:
- We have achieved stability in politics. The past presidential elections were open, transparent and honest which showed that rallies are left behind. We have no rallies. If there are disputes, they argue in the parliament. Regarding the Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations, the relations are set precisely due to the actions of the new president, Zheenbekov Sooronbai Sharipovich.
The Parliament is considering the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union. This proves that the Eurasian integration in the country is seen as a priority vector of development.
SHERADIL BAKTYGULOV, POLITICAL SCIENTIST:
- Regarding the triple posts on both sides, there is no such practice as part of the EAEU, but this does not mean that it should not exist. If there is any roughness they need to be solved. If the Eurasian Economic Commission is ready to act as an arbitrator, then this should be used. The realities of life must dictate changes in the legal norms of the EAEU.
Another circumstance that shows that Kyrgyzstan intends to establish good neighborly relations and to develop a Central Asian partnership is the establishment of interrelations with Uzbekistan. The President of Kyrgyzstan recently visited Uzbekistan with an official visit. A number of documents were signed which were aimed at strengthening the economic cooperation.
