Kazakhstan's peacekeeping initiatives
Kazakhstan’s initiatives in nuclear safety have significantly contributed to the solutions of global problems as the Republic takes active position in the United Nation (UN) Security Council. Director of Canadian Media Agency, Harry Nanda said that Kazakhstan is a messenger of peace. Nanda, who was also the former Bureau Chief of United Press International in South Asia, stressed two important initiatives advocated by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, which includes convening the conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and the G-Global International Project.
HARRY NANDA, DIRECTOR, CANADIAN MEDIA AGENCY:
- It is a very young nation. Now you are the chairperson of the UN Security Council. President Nazarbayev’s his vision has brought Kazakhstan into the world as a global player. His idea G-Global is very young just like Confidence Building Measures, now there are 26 members. G-Global is going to become a very global project in the years to come to fight the global security issues. Kazakhstan has the model to speak about global security.
