Kazakh athletes get six licenses for 2016 Summer Olympic games
Athletes from the Almaty region have acquired six slots for 2016 Summer Olympic Games. However, they intend to get at least as many soon again. World boxing champion Balausa Muzdiman and weightlifters Svetlana Podobedova, Karina Goricheva, Zulfiya Chinshanlo and Sultan Duzelbayev are among athletes who will represent Kazakhstan in Rio. During 2012 Summer Olympics in London, athletes from Zhetysu brought four medals to Kazakhstan.
Turatbek CHARAPIYEV, HEAD OF SPORT DEPARTMENT:
In addition, we expect licenses from boxers, archers and swimmers. I think we will be able to gain six more licenses. I am confident that athletes from the Almaty region will have medals. For this, we need to train now.
