Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in honor of its 25th anniversary awarded media representatives, who contribute to the development of interethnic relations with their creativity, who from day to day cover the important issues of peace and harmony in the country. Among those who received medals were Chairperson of Khabar Agency Yerlan Bekhozhin and Director of Kazakh TV Maya Bekbayeva. She said that mutual understanding, spiritual kinship, friendship of the peoples of Kazakhstan, which has been preserved for many years, is a brand of the state. In the conditions of the modern world and global challenges, it demonstrates the uniqueness of the country. Kazakh TV, which broadcasts in five languages has devoted many projects to this topic.

“This topic of interethnic harmony cannot be approached formally. Whenever you cover this topic, you want to show it in a way that makes people’s souls respond. So, we try very hard with our team of journalists, and in the Khabar Agency in general, to do it in such a way that looking at these projects and stories, people would really understand how valuable it is to live in a country where people are not divided along ethnic lines,” said Director of Kazakh TV Maya Bekbayeva.

Over 8,000 articles in total on the topic of interethnic relations have been published in Kazakh media since the beginning of the year. Almost half of them were posted on internet resources, over one and a half thousand were shown on TV channels of the country, almost 3,500 materials were published in print media.
