Preventive Measures Against Covid-19 Reinforced across Kazakhstan
Preventive measures against COVID-19 have been reinforced in the regions of Kazakhstan. Sanitary posts have been organized on the highways of the Karagandy Region. People arriving people in the region will be tested for coronavirus symptoms around the clock. Sanitary control has been strengthened for public transport. Public buses, train stations, playgrounds, sports facilities and other public will be regularly cleaned with sanitary equipment. So far, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Karagandy Region. 113 people are key in quarantine in hospitals and 39 are home-quarantined.
State institutions and private companies in Akmola Region are now working remotely. The doctors in the region consult patients online. According to the regional healthcare department, these measures allowed reaching the residents of remote villages. The region has reported no cases of infection with the dangerous virus, except the city of Nur-Sultan. 31 people are currently in hospitals for quarantine. 16 of them tested negative for COVID-19.
Judicial proceedings are transferred to remote working in the North Kazakhstan Region. Public hearings have been minimized.
“We have postponed all the trips, seminars, conferences and other events. Assizes have also been suspended. We must show solidarity in the current situation,” Gulziya Yedrissova, judge of the North Kazakhstan Regional Court commented.
Companies in the Aktobe Region have also switched to working remotely. The businesses who may suffer significant losses due to the situation will receive help from the government.
“Loans eat 6% interest rate are available under the ‘Economy of Simple Things’ concessional lending program. This is a new measure of state support. We also provide tax preferences,” Deputy Fovernor of the Aktobe Region, Kairat Bekenov said.
