Mobile Covid-19 Testing Stations to Be Opened in Nur-Sultan and Almaty

600,000 coronavirus express testing kits will available in Nur-Sultan and Almaty. Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation has donated 200 million tenge (US$436,194) for these purposes. 10 mobile testing stations will be organized in each of the two cities. They will operate in crowded places nearby pharmacies, supermarkets, bus stops and train stations. According to the Foundation, these express testing kits have been certified in the European Union and they can detect the virus with a probability of 90 percent. The COVID-19 virus testing kits have been already tried in South Korea, the United States and several European countries.   

 “These testing kits are produced in Guangzhou in China. Now we are workin on the logistics. In the near future, most likely in the middle of next week, the testing kits will be brought to Kazakhstan. How do they work? First, a blood sample is taken from fingertips, within ten or fifteen minutes the result will be ready,” Marat Aitmagambetov, head of Bulat Utemuratov’s Foundation said.
