Kazakhstan compiles development plan of information sector until 2023

The Kazakh Ministry of Information and Social Development will compile the National Plan of Information Sector Development for 2020-2023, stated the head of the ministry Dauren Abayev during the final panel session.

 - The next strategic goal of the President is to develop the national plan of information sector development for 2020-2023. As part of the strategy, the work on the increase of competitiveness of Kazakh media will be carried out. A number of measures are being discussed.

The Kazakh Minister of Information and Social development, the ministry is working on the improvement of the government’s information policy. For this purpose, mechanisms of state order related to information will be revised.

 - We will focus on quality instead of quantity by introducing market tariffs. The government will subsidize multimedia content that is in demand among the population and its promotion on the Internet, not just the amount of published texts. Secondly, we intend to support our commercial TV and radio channels so they could find a niche in digital broadcasting.

In addition, the Ministry of Information and Social Development will be implementing the concept of the responsive government. For this purpose, systemic monitoring and analysis of the work of feedback channels will be implemented.
