Kazakh students will study Hotel Management in Thailand

Kazakhstan and Thailand plan to intensify cooperation in education sector.

Representatives of the Thai Embassy in Kazakhstan met with leaders of one of the local universities where they expressed their intention to expand cooperation in this area.

Thai Ambassador to Kazakhstan Russ Jalichandra said that the parties discussed the possibility of providing educational scholarships to Kazakh students to study in Thailand.

To date, Kazakhstan has established an educational exchange of students with Russia, China and India.

“We have been introduced Kazakh university and things we can cooperate in the future. Basically what Kazakh university would like to see is to have more Thai students to study,” said Jalichandra.

Thailand is famous for its beautiful nature, diversity of resorts and unique sculptural buildings.

Today, the country attracts tourists from all over the world, and the Thai hotel business is famous for its high-quality service. During the talks, the Thai ambassador proposed to train Kazakh students in the hospitality area.

Jalichandra said that Thailand has expertise in hospitality, hotel management and is ready to share the experience with Kazakhstan.

“I talked to university and we are looking at possibility if we can have some exchange of experience in tourism field,” he added.

Representatives of the Thai embassy plan to organize another meeting with the Kazakh side, where they will discuss in detail the next steps of the project.

If the parties manage to reach an agreement, then next year Kazakh students will be able to get educational scholarships from Thailand.
