Launch of Nur-Sultan – Tokyo Direct Flight
Kazakhstan launched a new international flight between Nur-Sultan - Tokyo. Experts believe that the flight will improve business and tourist traffic in both directions.
Flights to Tokyo will be operated on Saturdays. With the beginning of autumn, two flights are scheduled every week.
Narita International Airport, where Kazakhstan’s plane arrives, is the second airport in Japan in terms of the number of passengers taken per day. It is located one hour away from Tokyo.
The companies see the high potential of the route and predict that in autumn, the flights will have 80% load factor. A year later, the route will be able to reach a commercial profitability.
“Every country has its own procedures. We just follow them and we have done everything in time. This is one of the long flights. The opening of the flight to Tokyo is associated with development of a hub at the Nur-Sultan airport,” said Vice President of Airline Company, Vladimir Sytnik.
Launch of direct flight is a new level in relations between the states. Kazakhstan and Japan are actively developing mutually beneficial cooperation. Last year, the bilateral trade between the two countries reached US$2 billion.
