27th session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan
First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev stated that the model of Kazakhstan’s interethnic relations is leading other countries by example.
He made the statement at the opening of the 27th session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, held recently in the capital city Nur-Sultan.
Nazarbayev urged the public not to ignore the lessons of humanity as the people’s existence as a single state depends on the spirit of unity and togetherness.
Speaking on the humanity lessons, he said there are tens of thousands of people worldwide who leave their home countries every day in search of a better life.
The number of migrants exceeds 250 million, of whom nearly 70 million are refugees. There are also up to four dozen conflicts, most of which are caused by interethnic conflicts.
“Our people are becoming more united due to patriotism and common values. We have successfully established a solid strong country with well-developing and dynamic economy. Together, we have created history thanks to the pragmatic and balanced foreign policy and we have also earned high international prestige globally.”
“I believe that the Ethnic Assembly will always ensure peace and stability in the country. I congratulate the people of Kazakhstan on the upcoming People’s Unity Day in Kazakhstan,” Nazarbayev said.
