Kazakhstan Participates in ‘The Green Week’ Exhibition in Germany for the First Time
Kazakhstan takes part in ‘The Green Week’ international agricultural exhibition in Germany for the first time. The country showcases products of 10 local companies at the event.
The Kazakh organizers say that the event is a great platform for local producers to find new business partners and promote the country.

- It is very important for Kazakhstan to take part in such events because it creates a good platform for the goals that the country has. First, it could attract German investments into the agro-industrial sector. Secondly, it can facilitate the export of the local agricultural products abroad. ‘The Green Week’ is a good platform for this.

- I’m very pleased to see that this year Kazakhstan is presented for the first time and the country plans to participate in the following years. I know that many Germans are interested in your products. I was interested to try mare's milk. I wish you success. I also want to add that Kazakhstan has a great agricultural potential. Kazakhstan is an important partner for us Germany and we will expand our cooperation.
The Kazakhstan pavilion presented a wide range of local products such as zhent, a type of Kazakh dessert, kurt or salty cheese snacks, halva which is sweet sunflower, sesame or almond paste as well as the famous Kazakhstan chocolate. Camel’s milk and fish were also displayed at the exhibition. Most of the visitors are interested to try chocolates made from mare’s milk.

- People come, look and buy. Everyone says that Kazakhstan-made chocolate is very sweet. This is a unique product. There is no other chocolate like this in the world. It is produced only in Kazakhstan.

- We see that our products are in demand. It was very interesting for us to present our organic Kazakh products for the European Union consumers. Based on our estimates, there are about 20,000 potential customers, including companies that can purchase the products. They will ask about our certification but the Kazakh companies that participated here have the experience dealing with the European Union.
This year’s exhibition features more than 100,000 products from all over the world with 1,700 agricultural producers from 65 countries taking part. It is expected that over 400,000 visitors will visit ‘The Green Week’ event.
