Architects in Almaty Created Electronic Passport of Facilities

Architects in Almaty have converted information on housing technical condition into digital format. The architects have created an electronic passport of the facilities. More than 10,000 information on the facilities has been digitally converted. Due to new information technologies, the time taken to consider the applications for redevelopment will be halved. Moreover, permits for construction can be received online.

ALMASKHAN AKHMEDZHANOV, DIRECTOR, DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING OF ALMATY:

- We have developed an electronic receipt of architectural planning. A person can submit an application without leaving his or her home. This application is processed in a system. Users can access a map to see the facility’s location and engineering communications that are located near the facility.

Experts have completely scanned the city with the help of modern aerial photography and created a 3D master plan. The digital map allowed transferring many procedures related to urban development to the online mode.
