Scientists of Semei have discovered another mystery of ancient times
Scientists of Semei have discovered another mystery of ancient times. Ancient items found in the vicinity of the city, as well as remains, could belong to the early Bronze Age. Members of the ‘Priirtyshye’ society of local history have found the ‘Mukurskiy hunter’ on the bank of the Mukur River in late May. The hunter died in the spring possibly by falling off the cliff. In addition to bones of the ancient hunter, the regional specialists have also discovered a skeleton of a horse.
AMANTAI ISIN, CANDIDATE OF HISTORICAL SCIENCES:
- This person might have been the Huns-Sarmat or may belong to the Turkic or post-Mongolian period. Researchers have to identify the exact date. We named the finding ‘Mukurskiy Hunter’. Since there are a lot of items found, we will immediately understand by the name which one of them is being discussed. All artefacts are important to our history.
MARAT SASANOV, CHAIRPERSON, SOCIETY OF LOCAL HISTORY:
- The bronze was not found next to him. No metal was found. The copper plate indicates the early bronze period. In my opinion, he is approximately 3,000-4,000 years old. We will send all the findings to the Margulan Institute of Almaty.
