Personalized medicine development
Predicting diseases based on genetics and preventing them. Kazakh scientists together with their colleagues from Great Britain intend to use the new method of disease detection. Priority is given to the pathologies of cardiovascular system, lung cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Program for the personalized medicine development was presented in Astana. The program is developed in two and a half years. Leading world experts will be invited to Kazakhstan to implement the project.

- We are going to select drugs for each form of the disease for a particular person. For instance, lung cancer - it has different forms, which depends on the cells, that trigger a cancerous tumor. We can reconfigure the medicine so that it kills a specific cell or a particular cancerous cell.
