Kazakhstan is becoming a favorite destination for Russian tourists
Kazakhstan is becoming a favorite destination for Russian tourists. Last year, more than 1.7 million Russian citizens visited the recreation areas and nature reserves in Kazakhstan. The most popular destinations among Russians is Bayanauyl in the Pavlodar region. Now visitors can reach the national park by plane as the flight from Novosibirsk to Pavlodar has been launched. The 1 hour 20 minutes flight is carried out twice a week. According to experts, this will increase the tourist flow between the two countries. In the near future, the air routes will be opened to connect Pavlodar with cities of Turkey and Belarus.
SANSYZBAI SEITAKHMETOV, SPOKESPERSON, PAVLODAR AIRPORT:
- This is the start. We discussed the opportunities and plans to open new routes during a meeting with company executives. Representatives of this airline have been cooperating with us for a long time. We have a flight from Pavlodar to Moscow, which is carried out three times a week.
Another popular vacation spot for Russians is the Alakol Lake in the Almaty region. This year, the new ‘Novosibirsk - Usharal – Novosibirsk’ flight will be launched for the convenience of tourists. Agreements on creation of the new air route have already been made.
ASSEL SADYKOVA, TALDYKORGAN RESIDENT:
- It will be very beneficial for Kazakhstan if the flight routes are opened in Kapshagai and Balkash in the future. In my opinion, the development of tourism directly affects the development of Kazakhstan in general.
The Alakol Lake is becoming an increasingly attractive place for foreign tourists. Last year, more than 800,000 tourists visited the resort area. This year, more than one million visitors are expected to visit the place. The Russian airlines offered to open additional charter flights to Usharal.
