The top three ratings are the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. The list includes eight Kazakh universities. The ranking identifies the world’s top universities on indicators such as the quality of teaching, reputation, citation index, the number of foreign students and teachers.
NUNZIO QUACQUARELLI, FOUNDER, QS QUACQUARELLI SYMONDS:
- In our ranking you see that Kazakh universities are continuing to develop and improve. In the last 14 years, we are producing QS Rankings. Kazakh universities have shown fairly continual improvement.
YERLAN SYDYKOV, RECTOR, GUMILYOV EURASIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY:
- Eight universities in Kazakhstan entered this rating which is a very big achievement. If the university enters the list of 1,000 universities it means that the university has entered the top list. In order to take the first spot in this rating, it is necessary to move forward and work hard. Now we must further improve our indicators.
