Development of domestic tourism
A joint campaign promoting domestic tourism was launched in Kazakhstan. The campaign appeals to the people of Kazakhstan to travel more around the local touristic sites. Educational promo videos on the picturesque sites of Kazakhstan are demonstrated in airports and railway stations. They are focused on Kazakhstan’s touristic potential and the unique natural sites.

- Domestic tourism is the latest popular trend among the people of Kazakhstan. Therefore, over the past year, the number of domestic travelers grew 20%. We need to inform the people of Kazakhstan about the touristic, natural and holy sites of Kazakhstan in order to motivate them to travel more. That’s why we have launched this project.
The videos were prepared by Kazakh TV channel. They demonstrate the touristic potential of Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Kostanay and Mangystau regions. Videos demonstrating beautiful nature and unique architectural facilities of other regions will also be made in the nearest future.

- We support this project and as part of its development, we are going to exhibit rare landscapes of Kazakhstan in the arrivals hall. Organizing the photo zone timed to the 20th anniversary of Astana is part of the project. We hope that this photo zone will also contribute to further development of the capital at the international level.
As part of the project, TV programs about tourist potentials of the regions of the country will broadcast in trains. The TV programs include "Discovering Kazakhstan," "Unknown Kazakhstan" and "Aviator" in Kazakh and Russian languages.
- Information on tourism is necessary. We have a lot of good places and nature reserves in Kazakhstan. Many people do not know about this. Therefore, the information must be good.
- Owing to tourism development in Kazakhstan, many people visit the country to see its beauty. Kazakhstan is truly a beautiful country. TV commercials and advertising them help tourists to navigate the city.
According to official data, last year, the number of domestic tourists exceeded 5.5 million. In comparison with the previous year, people willing to travel within their home country have become more than a quarter.
