Educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus
Kazakhstan and Belarus are expanding cooperation in the field of education. At the initiative of Kazakhstan, the governments of the two countries signed an agreement aimed at strengthening the exchange of best practices and students of the leading universities. The procedure for recognizing documents confirming residency will also be simplified. The countries believe that the new development will make the exchange of scientific experience more productive.
ASSEL KALAMBAYEVA, SECOND SECRETARY OF KAZAKHSTAN’S EMBASSY IN BELARUS:
- Teachers and researchers, who work in other countries and receive income will not be subjected to taxation for 24 months.
In the agreement, particular attention is paid to the young people studying in the countries. The signing of the agreement provides equally favorable conditions for the students from both Kazakhstan and Belarus. They are subjected to receiving the same benefits as the residents of the countries. For example, Belarusian citizens can receive the state educational grants allocated in Kazakhstan and vice versa.
ALISSA KNYAZEVA, BELARUSIAN STUDENT:
- People need to use their chances to study abroad if there is such a chance. It’s a great contribution to the development of the young people of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The teachers said that the agreement will give a new impetus to the development of research and educational field of the two countries. They said it is profitable to invest in human capital.
