Expert opinions on Kazakh President Nazarbayev’s national address
Latvian publicist Vladimir Reshetov says that the recent national address oby Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev is remarkable. According to him, Nursultan Nazarbayev in his new strategic document talks about an important trend of keeping up with the technological progress. The President of Kazakhstan proposes concrete measures that must be taken by the country to be a competitive state.
VLADIMIR RESHETOV, LATVIAN PUBLICIST:
- Of course, there is a very serious advancement of Kazakhstan along the way of economic harmonization of the country's activities. I remember that the important point was that the President urged to speed up and improve digital transformations in many industries, which will lead to a breakthrough in the agro-industrial complex, logistics and transport. As a person who lives in a transit country, I’m interested in the 17% transit increase in Kazakhstan. This is a huge figure over the year. In my opinion, we can only dream about this.
Member of the German Bundestag Andreas Jahn read the address of the Kazakh leader, too. He believes that in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the President of Kazakhstan set the country’s priorities correctly by focusing on the digital economy, smart technologies, renewables and human capital.
ANDREAS JAHN, PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY, COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF GERMAN BUNDESTAG:
- Kazakhstan relies on digital modernization of the economy which are very correct initiatives. The Latin alphabet will be introduced in Kazakhstan until 2025. I support the transition to the Latin alphabet very much. In general, much attention is paid to education. I think it is very necessary to develop engineering and agrarian science. We have a lot of experience and can offer joint work.
