Bucharest to open Nur-Sultan Square, erect monument to Abai Kunanbaiuly
On June 30, the Nur-Sultan Square will be opened in Romania’s capital of Bucharest, where the monument to the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbaiuly will be erected, governor of Yesil district of Nur-Sultan Berik Dzhakenov announced on his social media. He added that this is the result of the work of the ambassadors of the two countries. Dzhakenov said that currently the parties are exchanging experiences on landscaping of cities and economic management.
“Foreign colleagues are interested in the Kazakh capital’s experience in management issues including sanitation and city improvement. We, in turn, are interested in their experience in urban greening and urban development. We both defined the directions where to go next and we will keep in touch,” concluded Dzhakenov.
He also stated that the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan established close ties with the municipalities of Moscow, Kazan, Budapest, as well as the administration of the Oryol region of Russia, and others.
