CAMCA Forum: countries of Central Asia, Mongolia, Caucasus and Afghanistan discuss development of the region
During the 7th CAMCA annual Regional Forum, representatives of official, scientific and business circles as well as public organizations of Central Asia, Mongolia, Caucasus and Afghanistan hold discussions on the fight against coronavirus pandemic, the development of intraregional trade and entrepreneurship as well as regional security issues and key aspects of digital transformation.
This time the event is held online and will last until June 19. Kazakh Ambassador to the United States Yerzhan Kazykhanov and Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre Kairat Kelimbetov are taking part from Kazakhstan.
Since the establishment of the event in 2014, over 160 speakers and hundreds of representatives have attended the forum from 25 countries and 150 companies from around the world. Experts said that the event’s work promotes dialogue and interaction between young leaders of the countries of the region. The cooperation between professionals from various sectors significantly contributes to economic, political and social development at the regional level.
The next regional forum is expected to be held in Almaty in 2021 to discuss intraregional trade, transport and transit, regional opportunities for business and investment, entrepreneurship, geopolitical and economic trends, the development of human capital and much more.
