Nursultan Nazarbayev: An Influential Person of Turkic world
Turkic political experts opined that Kazakhstan’s First President, Nursultan Nazarbayev is an influential figure in the Turkic world.
The experts also believed that Nazarbayev’s political activities helped strengthen the cooperation between the Turkic countries.
The Turkic community believes that Kazakhstan’s First President is the Bilga Qaghan of the 21st century and is often compared to the reformer and founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Turkey is the first country which recognized Kazakhstan’s Independence. Today, the relations between the two countries are based on friendly and mutually beneficial partnership.
Many agreements and documents signed between the two countries laid the foundation for cooperation in various sectors.
There are Turkic international organizations established at the initiative of Kazakhstan’s First President, such as TURKSOY, the Turkic Council, the Turkic Academy and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. There are also several Turkic summits held within 27 years, which the Kazakh First President took part in all of them.
“Nursultan Nazarbayev has attended all Turkic summits. He has been promoting closer relations between the Turkic countries since the early 1990s and established organizations, to bring the Turkic people together. Kazakhstan’s First President was granted the status of Honorary President for Life of the Turkic Council,” said Halil Akinci, Former Secretary-General of Turkic Council.
Nazarbayev is a unique politician of the global scale. The world-renowned leader put much effort into the consolidation and strengthening of the Turkic countries.
Experts underlined that the countries have solid economic and cultural ties with a promising future.
