Kazakhstan Continues to Be the Focus in the World
Kazakhstan continues to be the focus in the world community as the current changes in the country is being widely discussed in different countries.
Experts and politicians from Armenia highlight that the country’s First President, Nursultan Nazarbayev’s contribution to the formation of the nation is invaluable.
“Nursultan Nazarbayev is a historical figure of historical scale. I can say that during the years, I had followed his activities and it was obvious that he highly prioritizes independence, the sovereignty and the interests of Kazakhstan and in this regard, I think many post-Soviet leaders have to learn from him,” Armenia’s National Assembly member, Mikayel Zolyan said.
Meanwhile, PhD of Political Science at a research center, Vardan Atoyan said that it was the First President who initiated the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) 25 years ago.
He said Nursultan Nazarbayev is the mastermind of the EAEU given that the trade union was established based on his idea.
“The establishment of the union is very important for our countries from historical, cultural and economic points of view. I hope that the current President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev will continue Nursultan Nazarbayev’s initiatives,” Atoyan added.
Meanwhile, Head of Center for Political and Legal Studies Johnny Melikyan highlighted the new prospects of developing bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
He said that Armenia’s new president Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan will focus on the consistent development and strengthening of Kazakh-Armenian cooperation.
“It is important that the Armenian Government understand the importance of deepening cooperation as part of the EAEU. Alongside Russia, Kazakhstan is also an important partner for Armenia with which we need to develop trade and economic cooperation,” Melikyan added.
