Foreign experts discussed Kazakhstan’s role in strengthening global security

Foreign experts discussed Kazakhstan’s role and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev’s personal contribution to strengthening global security. Representatives of international organizations highlight the importance of Kazakhstan’s efforts in the Syrian negotiations in Astana, and especially as part of nuclear disarmament.

NIKLAS NILSSON, RESEARCH FELLOW, INSTITUTE FOR SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT POLICY:

Afghanistan is more and more viewed as a country that is not only a problem and a source of instability but also a potential key country for central Asian countries and economies in order to access South Asia which is important.

World experts and representatives of international organizations speak not only about Kazakhstan’s invaluable contribution to strengthening global security. They highlight the fact that due to President Nazarbayev’s efforts, it became possible for interaction and cooperation of many states to promote ideas of peace and harmony.

MUSTAFA SENTOP, VICE SPEAKER, GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF TURKEY:

 - History of each state has difficult times. Turkey also had one of them in July 15, 2016, when a military coup attempt was made in the country. Mr. Nazarbayev was the first among the foreign statesmen to show support for our state. Following this, on August 5, 2016, he visited Turkey as a sign of support. This act is a good demonstration of what we are talking about here today, particularly, a trust in security and cooperation.
