The Italian city of Verona hosted the 11th Eurasian Economic Forum

The Italian city of Verona hosted the 11th Eurasian Economic Forum. The participants discussed the ways of strengthening cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union. The event was attended by leaders of large companies and politicians from 40 countries. The agenda included topics such as creating a favourable environment for business development, energy security and the digital economy. This year, Kazakhstan was represented by a large delegation. European businesspeople are ready to cooperate with their Kazakh colleagues and invest in new projects due to the improvement of the investment climate in Kazakhstan.

 - Investments in the economy in Kazakhstan is still a growth agenda. There are a lot of investments mainly in the field of oil and gas and in this field many Italian contractors are present and are working a lot.

This year’s forum in Verona was themed‘ Economy of Trust and Business Diplomacy from the Atlantic to the Pacific’. The benefits and capacities of the Astana International Financial Center were also presented at the event.
