Kazakhstan in LPI rankings
Kazakhstan has improved its ranking by six positions in the World Bank’s international Logistics Performance Index. The report is published every two years and covers trade logistics performance on the national and international levels. Kazakhstan is ranked 71st among 160 countries. According to the survey, Kazakhstan significantly improved its rankings in several categories, including the efficiency of customs clearance where Kazakhstan improved its rankings by 21 positions. Moreover, Kazakhstan went up by 42 positions in the timeliness of shipments category. Specialists connect it with the Automated System of Customs and Tax Administration, ‘Astana 1’, which was put into operation in October last year. Meanwhile, a draft act on the single rate for customs declaration of goods is currently under discussions.
