The book “Era of Independence": Encyclopedia of Development
Members of the ethno-cultural associations of Almaty have proposed to study the most modern history of Kazakhstan based on the book by President Nursultan Nazarbayev “Era of Independence." The ethnic communities According to the Deputy Chairman of the Korean National Center, Georgiy Kan, this work fully reflects all the major stages in the formation of a young state.
GEORGIY KAN, DOCTOR OF HISTORICAL SCIENCES:
- The book has excellent schemes, excellent diagrams related to the first modernization, the second modernization, and the third modernization processes. The book contains a methodically verified content. Therefore, we are proposing to use the book as a textbook on the newest history of Kazakhstan.
This proposal is supported by the professors of Kokshetau State University. They note that the book "The Era of Independence" is a historically significant piece of work for the new generation. It contains firsthand information about the complex stages of the republic’s formation and development in the past 2.5 decades. The book describes bold steps and the fundamental decisions made in the first years of the country’s independence.

- This book can be called an encyclopedia of the era of independence, even an anthology. And one of the interesting aspects is that in it the Head of State described not only the achievements of the country, but also the difficulties and obstacles along the road, and the hard decisions that had to be made.
