Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed a joint program to develop tourism. According to the Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sports, Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, cities and attractions of both republics are of constant interest to tourists. This potential will be further developed.
ARYSTANBEK MUKHAMEDIULY, KAZAKH MINISTER OF CULTURE AND SPORTS:
- Relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in economy and culture are developing rapidly. Today we have signed a joint program in tourism, which will be organized with tourist groups. The route was constructed beginning from Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Shymkent and the last point ends in Turkestan.
As part of the year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, a number of activities are planned in the republic. The agreement was reached during the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in September. The Uzbek officials also proposed to declare the year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
