Water agreement by Central Asian countries
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan made an agreement on the common use of transboundary rivers. The rational use of water potential by the Central Asian countries will significantly improve the condition of the Aral Sea. Scientists from neighboring countries suggested ways of improving the ecological situation, developing forestry and fisheries, and new ways of reducing flow of water along the Syr Darya River and the Dostyk Channel. Experts consider say the regulating the common water use system of transboundary waters is an urgent matter since this will give impetus to the development of agriculture.
