The Atyrau refinery will increase the output of motor fuel by several times
Kazakhstani oil refineries are planned to increase production of fuel and lubricants. The Atyrau refinery will increase the output of motor fuel by several times. Commissioning of the deep oil refining complex coincided with the completion of the third stage of refinery modernization. The project is aimed at increasing production volumes of high quality fuel. Nearly 500 new jobs have been created at the complex.
GALYMZHAN AMANTURLIN, DIRECTOR GENERAL, ATYRAU OIL REFINERY:
- Commissioning of this complex will sharply increase the production of K-4 and K-5 quality gasoline up to 1.7 million; these are the analogues of Euro-4- and 5. If today we produce about 650, then there will be a million seven hundred at full performance. The output of Jet-1 hydro treated fuel will be increased by eight times. Diesel fuel production will increase by 23%.
Winter fuel production plant was launched in Pavlodar region this year. The unique production based on the advanced Russian technology processes diesel fuel into the arctic fuel, capable of withstanding the temperature to minus 60 degrees. The plant will produce 300,000 tonnes of fuel per year. The project attracted 2 billion tenge of investments. The plant will cover demands of the domestic market in diesel fuel. Kazakhstan’s fuel will cost 5-10% cheaper, the producers say.
NURBOLAT SEITMAGAMBETOV, STAFF, REGIONAL INDUSTRIAL AND INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT:
- As you know, Kazakhstan has never produced winter fuel. This is the first plant that will produce similar fuel in the country. This winter fuel will be used by such large enterprises as Bogatyr Komir and Bozshakol Mining and Processing Plant.
