Austria supports further implementation of Kazakhstan’s socio-economic reforms
Austria supports further implementation of Kazakhstan’s socio-economic reforms. In addition to this, Austria is ready to participate in attracting investments to the non-primary sector. Austrians are especially interested in development of the Astana International Financial Center, the hubs based on the Astana EXPO 2017, IT startups, the international green technologies center and investment projects. This was announced by Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Richard Shenz at the meeting with the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kairat Abdrakhmanov, the head of Kazakhstan's foreign policy department, held a meeting with the President of Austria. Alexander Van der Bellen congratulated Kazakhstan on the successful organization of Astana EXPO 2017 and highlighted the Kazakh leadership’s significant contribution to settle the Syrian conflict and the country’s other peacekeeping efforts. Austria actively participates in the implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia and intends to develop partnership as part of transit and infrastructure projects. Moreover, Kairat Abdrakhmanov took part in the 24th OSCE Ministerial meeting of foreign ministers of participating states.
