Forum of Kazakh goods producers
Kazakhstan focuses on import substitution and increasing local content in the mining and metallurgical industry. The enterprises of the industry are planning to increase the share to almost 67% by the end of the year. In monetary terms, the purchase of goods, works and services from Kazakhstani suppliers will amount to more than ninety-five billion tenge. Goods and services worth 600 billion have been purchased by now. "Kazakhmys" company produced about three tonnes of gold worth about $120 million in 10 months of this year. Raw materials are supplied to Balkhash refineries of Kazakhmys Corporation and Tau Ken Samruk in Astana.

- The share of Kazakhstan content was 36% in 2009; today we have reached over 74%. The work in this direction will be continued.
Prospects for the development of the industry related to production and export were discussed at the 7th forum on supporting domestic manufacturers "Producing Kazakhstani goods". This year, it brought together more than 100 mining and metallurgical companies. The forum was attended by about six hundred representatives of enterprises and national companies, as well as international and domestic suppliers.
NIKOLAY RADOSTOVETS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ASSOCIATION OF MINING AND METALLURGICAL ENTERPRISES:
- The growth reached 3-4% this year, and I think, by the end of the year there will be 5% growth compared to last year. Coal exports to far abroad grew by 4 million tonnes. This is a serious achievement. Export volumes will expand. We are expanding the supply of other resources such as the coke.
The forum "Producing Kazakhstani goods" helps to strengthen business ties. An exhibition of achievements of Kazakhstani producers traditionally takes place as part of the event. Production volume in Kazakhstan’s mining industry increased by 11.3% following the results of nine months of this year. Experts predict that the share of Kazakhstan’s content in this sphere will increase by 3% in 2018.
