The Swiss Cantone Ticino and the Almaty region signed a memorandum of cooperation
Kazakhstan is interested in sustainable development of its tourism industry. In addition to adopting the concept, developing new routes and conducting presentations, the country is actively engaged in international promotion of its tourism industry. The Swiss Cantone Ticino and the Almaty region signed a memorandum of cooperation. Skiing and mountain recreation are well developed in this European region. The Shymbulak resort attracts tourists with the active recreation in the Almaty. Cantone Ticino is a valuable strategic partner. Switzerland leads the Global Innovation Index rankings for the seventh consecutive year.

China is ready to share its experience with Kazakhstan in the development of tourism, too. Moreover, China intends to actively cooperate with the Kazakh air and tourism companies. Delegates from Hainan Province announced this at the presentation of the achievements in the Chinese pavilion. Chinese delegates reported on their methods of attracting foreign investment and highlighted that more than US$3 billion has been invested in Hainan over the past three years. Most of these funds are directed specifically to tourism.
