Kazakh cartographers are developing a map of holy places of Kazakhstan. In the future, the map will attract tourists and pilgrims both from Kazakhstan and abroad. In Northern Kazakhstan, the map of the region has already been presented which includs14 significant historical and religious sites, specifically, temples, mosques, memorial and museum complexes, as well as burial places of famous people. The map has the ancient Botai settlement where a horse was first domesticated. The regional map will be expanded with other 40 holy places.

- Our young generation should know about these places, specifically, the historical monuments. Today the map is located in the regional archive. In August, we are heading to Astana for the expo, as part of the culture days of the North Kazakhstan region in Astana. This map will be presented at the exhibition in the National Archive.
The map of sacred places will also be created in Astana. It will feature all the local monuments of historical and cultural significance. A special group will be created to conduct a thorough study. Scientists, archaeologists, historians, representatives of non-governmental and youth organizations will be part of the team. In addition, as part of the Modernization of Public Consciousness program, a cultural and scientific expedition to the Bozok town, a meeting and a forum of young local historians will be organized in Astana.
