International Civil Aviation Organization supports the innovation. The ICAO pays a lot of attention to issues of climate change and environmental protection. In recent years, the organization has taken a number of measures to address these important topics, particularly, the use of alternative fuels. This was voiced by Secretary General of ICAO Fang Liu during her visit to Kazakhstan. The head of ICAO met with representatives of the country’s civil aviation industry and a number of ministries. Fang Liu highlighted that the organization is pleased with the way how aviation security is supported in our country. Also the ICAO Secretary General devoted her speech to the issues of combating terrorism and the implementation of the UN resolution.
FANG LIU, SECRETARY GENERAL OF ICAO:
- Our sectors effectively responds on flight tracking is one important example of this. We can also look at resolutions on climate change passed at our last assembly at earlier where action is more urgent than ever.
The first resolution reaffirmed ICAO’s commitment to global aspirations of goals through a comprehensive basket of CO2 mitigation majors. This includes aircraft innovations, efficient operations and intensified deployment of sustainable alternative fuels.
