EXPO 2017: EXPERT OPINION
Experts in the field of renewables note that Kazakhstan has managed to attract the attention of the entire world. The country has already created conditions for transition to a new level of technological development and green economy. These efforts are important because transition to green economy is becoming the most significant contribution to the global development.
EVGENY ZUBRITSKY, ALTERNATIVE ENERGY EXPERT:
- I haven’t seen this format of the exhibition center anywhere yet. I’ve attended a lot of exhibitions but this format is made up of 170 hectares of land which are such areas. Everything is made of the latest technology. The architecture is fantastic.
MIRON PIRTSKHELANI, ENERGY EXPERT, GEORGIA:
- I think that Kazakhstan has managed to attract attention of the whole world to the importance of transitioning to clean energy. This topic is very urgent for us as Georgia is gradually beginning to develop alternative energy. I’m sure that the expo will help all the countries gain even more knowledge in this area as well as share experiences with each other. Perhaps, at the end of the event, the development of the future energy will move to a new level throughout the world.
Secretary of German parliamentary committee, Andreas Jan believes the EXPO 2017 opens new horizons for business and investors. Astana has become a unique venue where many contracts are signed, business negotiations and seminars are held. The politician notes that a driving force of the German economy is small and medium-sized enterprises. Today many German entrepreneurs are interested in joint projects with Kazakhstan.

- I am very pleased that Kazakhstan is hosting the EXPO 2017. I wish your country success in hosting this event. Germany is very interested in participating in this prestigious exhibition. This is an excellent opportunity to expand our cooperation. I endorse that Kazakhstan is going to abandon traditional energy sources. Energy efficiency, renewable energy and its use are very interesting. Germany is a leader in this field and we are working on new concepts. We are very pleased that the organizers have chosen this theme of Future Energy.
