KAZAKHSTAN 32ND IN IMD RANKING
Kazakhstan climbed 15 positions in the World Competitiveness Ranking by the Institute of Management Development (IMD). In 2017, the country took 32nd place out of the 63 represented countries. The study is conducted by the Swiss International Institute for Management Development. The university’s ranking is one of the most prestigious ones in the world. Kazakhstan has bested countries like Spain, Italy, Russia and Turkey. Experts assessed Kazakhstan according to four indicators: economic activity, government efficiency, business and infrastructure. The respondents in Kazakhstan consider stability and predictability, favorable business environment and competitive taxation system as good indicators. Hong Kong, Switzerland and Singapore are the top three countries with the best economies.
