Foreign visitors discussed the Kazakh President’s article "The Course towards Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness". According to the participants, it will become a landmark for Kazakhstan’s development in all spheres.
ASIF USUBALIEV, DIRECTOR, SCIENTIFIC CENTER, AZERBAIJAN:
- Harmonious modernization of public consciousness is important. The value of such articles is in the guidance to societal transformation. I hope your society will appreciate it.
Experts said that the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin script is very important too. They expect that in the future, other Central Asian states will do it as well.
OSMAN FIKRI SERTKAYA, PROFESSOR, ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY:
- The Kazakh language, literature, folklore are very rich, and I would like the Turkic-speaking world to fully understand and appreciate it. I think if all Turkic-speaking peoples used the Latin alphabet, then this would bring our peoples closer.
Turkology museum was opened as part of the forum in Astana. It exhibits rare manuscripts, previously unpublished articles and personal turkologists’ diaries.
