ASTANA EXPO 2017 TOURIST ROUTES
A group of tour operators, bloggers and journalists from China, Iran and India have arrived in Astana to see the EXPO 2017 facilities. As part of the tour, they visited the territory of an international specialized exhibition, the sights of the capital, as well as the hotels that are part of the "Recommended by EXPO" partnership program. The organizers are planning to hold 8 more information tours similar to this.
ASSEL KARABAYEVA, MANAGER, ASTANA CONVENTION BUREAU:
- We signed a memorandum on mutual cooperation with representatives of the tourism industry of these countries. Our guests visited the enterprises of medical and sports cluster in Astana, participated in the sightseeing tour. We visited "Saryarka" cycling track yesterday. They were very satisfied. Everyone liked the tour.

- They are interested and we are inviting more than 3000 people from there, not only tourists, some business companies also and some delegations interested in Kazakhstan-India relationships.
Akmola region’s tourist sites are prepared for the large number of tourists. Special routes have been developed for them. Local residents are purchasing Expo tickets. Starting from June 1, Kokshetau-Astana and Atbasar-Astana electric train routes will be launched for visitors coming from remote settlements.
SHYNARBEK BATYRKHANOV, HEAD OF TOURISM DEPARTMENT, AKMOLA REGION:
- Foreign visitors will be offered 7 new special tour packages covering over 30 tour sites in Akmola region. More than 30,000 Kazakhstan citizens are willing to visit EXPO. Our resort attracts a large number of voyagers in summer; I think most of them will wish to visit Expo. There are over 300 resorts in Akmola region, and 100 of them expressed willingness to receive and serve Expo visitors.
