KAZAKH PLANT PRODUCES TWO TONNES OF ALUMINUM
Export increase, establishment of local production and substitution of imported goods are the most important tasks at current stage of Kazakhstan's economic development. Pavlodar metallurgists received 2 million tonnes of pure aluminum. The so-called winged metal is used not only in the production of various consumer goods but also in automobiles and aircraft building. The Kazakh aluminum is sold on the London Stock Exchange. There, the world’s corporate giants are the clients of the plant. The electrolysis plant in Pavlodar has been increasing its production capacity since its launch.
ULAN AUBAKIROV, SENIOR MASTER, ALUMINUM ELECTROLYSIS SHOP:
- This is a very big sign of our productive work. We tracked every process, so the amount we have to produce will finish in time. The accomplishment of the plan is prioritized. This is a lot of work. It is a celebration for us.
The enterprise has begun a large-scale increase in the share of Kazakh revenue in the production since last year. Today, the plant uses 90 percent of domestic raw material. A completely new stage of development is started this year. The enterprise has begun to expand the geography of products supply. Russian-German joint enterprise will become the primary consumer of aluminum. The enterprise is being built in the territory of the special economic zone “Pavlodar”.
ROMAN ROMANOV, PRESIDENT, KAZAKHSTAN ELECTROLYSIS PLANT:
- This year, we plan to conclude a contract on selling 19,800 tons of primary aluminum in order to derive the redistributed product from our aluminum.
The plant will produce various aluminum alloys. This will allow to produce profiles, car disks and aluminum foil. In the future, the enterprise will pull more than a dozen small productions which will allow a deep redistribution of the Kazakh aluminum.
