PUBLIC SECTOR MARKETING TRENDS
Experts from Canada shared their vision of promoting digital communications in the public sector with their Kazakh counterparts. Experts described the latest global trends in this area at a special seminar in Astana. The participants spoke about the nuances of promoting of state agencies in social networks, and modern methods of using the Internet to interact with the public.
ALIKHAN BAIMENOV, HEAD OF REGIONAL HUB OF CIVIL SERVICE:
- The importance of effective use of modern information technologies by press services and state bodies is increasing, and it is very important that the government officials master modern methods and technologies. And this, in return, will increase the level of the public trust in government agencies, which is one of the key indicators of the effectiveness of government’s work.
According to the Canadian marketers, Kazakh population is already seeing the benefits of the digital technologies, which allow the public to make good use of government services. However, there is still more work needed in this area.

- From what I’ve been able so far, I’ve been noticing quite a bit of change in the last few years. Obviously, I’m learning just as people are here to learn from the particip0ants of what we can convey and bring in terms of best practices that I witness around the world in terms of government officials and how that would compare to Kazakhstani government in terms of what they can bring.
Based on the results of the international seminar, an online platform will be created for further exchange of views and experiences of the participants on developing public relations on social media.
