STRENGTHENING DIPLOMATIC TIES
Kazakh Foreign Minister handed President Nursultan Nazarbayev's invitation to the first Science and Technology summit of the Organization of Islamic countries to the King of Saudi Arabia. The summit will be held in Astana on the 10th and 11th of September. According to the Kazakh diplomat believes King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s participation is important because he is the leader of one of the largest Islamic states, which allocates significant funds for the development of scientific research and education. King Salman expressed gratitude for the invitation and said that Saudi Arabia intends to develop and strengthen relationship with Kazakhstan. The monarch also noted the importance of the Astana Process and welcomed President Nazarbayev's and Kazakhstan's contribution to the international efforts in the Syria settlement.

- We have agreed on a number of investment projects and creation of new jobs in Kazakhstan, introduction of new technologies. There are real examples of investments flowing from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Kuwait is very positive about it.
