KAZAKHSTAN STRENGTHENS COOPERATION WITH COUNTRIES
Kazakhstan is strengthening cooperation with foreign countries. Mutually beneficial partnership encompasses almost all spheres of the economy. Kazakhstan’s logistics potential was discussed at an international conference in Berlin. The meeting participants stressed that Kazakhstan plays a key role in the development of the new Silk Road. According to businessmen, Germany and Kazakhstan are actively cooperating in the field of container transportation and expansion of the maritime infrastructure of Aktau port. During the forum, the Kazakh ambassador to Germany Bolat Nussupov told about further plans and prospects in the transit and transport field. He emphasized that in the past 5 years, Kazakhstan has invested nearly $10 billion to develop its capacity in this area. This, in turn, opens up great opportunities for attracting investments and doing business.

- Kazakhstan is a very large country with huge potential. It is also very important that this country is stable and safe. Kazakhstan plays a major role for Germany as a transit country. Goods from China and other countries come to us through Kazakhstan’s territory. We want to connect China and Kazakhstan with the northern Europe. This is our goal. We have previously signed a contract with KTZ EXPRESS, and since then our joint work has expanded.

- We have created high-quality infrastructure on the border with China, built new railroads connecting the main Silk Road routes to the East-West, the Trans-Caspian direction, the countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia. Kazakhstan has invested in Khorgos infrastructure and created a dry port.
Tatarstan also intends to increase cooperation with Kazakhstan. Entrepreneurs from Mendeleyevsky district arrived in Almaty region, where Kazakhstan’s large-scale production is based. The delegation visited the international center of cross-border cooperation Khorgos, the facilities of the free economic zone “Khorgos - Eastern Gate” and the railway station Altynkol. The meeting resulted in the signing a memorandum on cooperation between the regions of the two countries in the spheres of trade, food and processing industry, as well as electric power industry.
